At one time I was one
After getting out of the Army I briefly got involved in the John Birch Society--which was a conservative political group. I didn't last long because it was mostly simple bitching without direction or purpose.
This morning, while reviewing a document from The Southern Poverty Law Center, who has documented 1,255 active hate and antigovernment groups in the United States, I see that the John Birch Society has made the list
I had no idea that they were even around any longer
