I'm jealous :wah:
Big beef (hybrid), kelloggs (heirloom), giallo de summer (heir), fireworks (heir), box car willy (heir), andiamo (paste tomato), five kinds of brandywines, tiger blush (cherry), and a red pear. My wife likes the cherry tomatoes, but I think they are a PITA and end up everywhere.
I believe thats 14. Most of them are big slicers. Fireworks should be first by a couple days, around the 8th of July. Sometimes on the 4th.:usa: I have ended up with a strange affinity for the smell of chicken chit.
We always looked forward most to that first BLT, when our tomatoes came in.
I have cherry tomato's producing very well but they are not ripening? Am I just being impatient? Starting to get hot around here...
If you get satisfaction from the growing, then it is the way to go. Myself, I find that going to farmers markets or just stopping by a roadside stand is much easier and the actual cost is not that much more. Additionally, when I grew tomatoes, they would all come in at about the same time and there were so many I had to give 95% of them away or they would spoil. [ I do not preserve ]
:usa:Ok, some more time lapse for the month of May. I would say tracking pretty good to have BLT's for 4th of July.
I love the smell of tomato plants in the morning.

Inside my little greenhouse its just about perfect now. In a couple of weeks it will start getting too hot and I will have to connect the fan. The door stays open right now except at night because I'm afraid of a deer getting in there. Got my drip tuned up pretty good; havent had a hose in there in over a week. Blossoms and baby tomatoes are coming on strong.:smokin:
Braggart
Probably post a picture of the BLT also :whyme:
:rolleyes2:
Nothing like a beefsteak big enough that one slice covers the bread. A smidge of salt and a bit of mayo.
Heaven, I'm in Heaven.
I'm thinking we beat 4th of July this year. Loaded with fruit.
