I have an old relative---a JP Sauer and Son 12 Ga SXS made in Essen Germany prior to WWII. The engraving is so fine you really need to view it with a magnifying glass to appreciate it. I have never fired it. Sadly I got a similar 20 ga when I got this and--- traded it on a couple of fancy Winchester Model 12s.
It is the second from the top on the left in this photo.

Looks damned spiffy, but then what do I know? The last handgun I bought was induced by some sharpie who saw a live one coming and is still laughing about it. Offered to buy it back for a dime on the dollar.:shrug:

I have only bought one new gun sight on seen---I "reserved" the first lightweight Remington 20 ga pump to come through the door. It was awful, the damn thing kicked like a mule---it went back out almost as quick as it came in :yuck:
