Damn.... I love subs for the tech and stealth but I'm too claustrophobic to ever consider going down in one..
I wonder if the hump in the deck just aft of the damage was caused by the impact distorting the hull... I've never noticed that before.
When I use to sail in San Diego I always made a run down sub row....
I remember posting that event a while back...It must have been a hell of a jolt to stop 6,000 tons of weight moving at 30 knots in less than a second...:bash:...Ben
Every picture I've seen of this accident leaves me more incredulous that anyone survived. That is a tribute to the engineers, the trainers and the crew!
