That will keep it out of the mail were it will sure to be bent, folded, stapled or otherwise mutilated :wary: I heard that from somewhere :shrug:

I have marked my ballot save for one---I haven't made up my mind to vote for old do it again Rocky or Bill Weld-----but I can assure you all, just in case there is any doubt in your minds-----there will be NO VOTE for trump:hatoff:

I made my comment about the mail in sarcasm, playing with trump's comments. For clarity this is the primary ballot.
The envelope is clearly a ballot but there is no indication of the party. Our primary is closed and my ballot only contained the Republican candidates. I am taking it to a collection point because our mail service is that poor, and it has become even worse since covid-19. We are constantly receiving other peoples mail and a large part of our mail is lost--although it seems we get spam without a problem! To the extent possible, I have stopped mailed checks, they are handled via wire transfers. Things like stock dividends are more difficult to manage.
Back to the ballot---there were three candidates listed for President: Bill Wall and good old Roque "Rocky" De La Fuente Guerra :shrug: Oh---i forgot Mr congeniality himself.
I’m merely wondering how many other states besides Missouri print the party designation on the outside envelope of mail-in ballot returns so vote fraudsters can distinguish which ones they want to destroy or delay while in the postal chain. As Dave notes, the postal workers are not exactly the standard for reliability, but it will not become really relevant until the general election.
I should add that I have been voting by absentee ballots for years since I am seldom home. The previous process was to simply mail via USPS to the County seat. I don't recall ever seeing what I would realize as a distinguishing sign on any of those envelopes. But, I have to add that I don't know any of them ever were delivered or counted.
This year is different because of covid. They have delayed the vote, consolidated polling places and offered this mail in ballot. As part of that policy they established 10 (I believe) drop boxes where you can take your ballot, up to the closing of the poles tomorrow night. Had I mailed it, it would have had to been delivered NLT tomorrow. That is not a good bet. I could also take it to the polling place tomorrow. In practice, the mail in ballot and the absentee ballot seem to be one in the same. What I am not sure of, is how they are counted. Absentee ballots are only counted if the spreed between two candidates is less than the number of absentee ballots received. I have to assume that does not apply in this case.

Was the Missouri Ballot for a primary?
All identifying information .. name and address of voter.. and primary designation (party name) is on the inner envelope.
If its a primary, the party must be identified.
Just a thought.. an openion, I could be wrong..
I do not recall hearing that question asked and I did not hear all the discussion, but that would be a reasonable explanation for an outside party designation.
Here is another thought---why is it in these "cases", always the left tossing out the ballots of the right? Then apply the same question to a long list of similar events. It is ridicules on the face of it. Kind of hearkens back to the old adage about crying wolf.
It is not always the Left, just mostly. Last year the campaign for a conservative in one of the Carolinas, as I recall, was caught “harvesting” votes and the election thrown out. It is strange though that methods for harvesting votes is promoted and celebrated by Democrats, while I’ve never seen a proposal to improve vote security that is not opposed by Democrats.
That just might be as a result of your choice of information sources.
I’m open to education. Perhaps you can cite an instance when Democrats proposed a security measure to enact which would insure a vote cast and the voter casting it is qualified to do so.
I'm sorry but I don't focus on chit house rumors.
Call trump---he's into such stuff.
Anytime you can think of a Democrat proposal that makes vote fraud harder, let us know, but that would alienate their core constituency.
I prefer to concentrate on fixing real problems not imagined ones.
I just applied for permanent Mail in Ballot status... just to flip trump the bird. To quote the man himself when asked about his mail in ballot " Because I can"
