Well stated. Maybe Dave can suggest the next perfect president. Hopefully he won't cop out and vote for some write in this year hope he will share with us which of the Democrats he votes for
I don't recall seeing this meeting reported anywhere else. But I don't go looking either.
It is my way of saying to both parties that I don't approve of either of your offerings. I refuse to dignify the current crop of wannabes with my vote.
Here’s just one run-down of President Donald J. Trump accomplishments through 2019 to buttress my assertion —

I encourage all to review the list, and there are many I missed along the way. Things are going on in the background. To that auspicious list, I would be quick to add his withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accords and eliminating/bringing to account Gen. Qasem Soleimani & al-Baghdadi. I am reminded that in contrast to the previous administration’s policy with regard to ISIS of “suppressing it,” as our general in charge described Trump’s new policy, he was instructed to “annihilate them.”
Trump is the sole president to confront the Communist Chinese menace in any meaningful manner within our lifetimes.
To balance the scales, I await your list of his failures to open my blind eyes and chalk up the final account.
It would take all day and you would still ignore them. :dunno:

Let me guess, he is really nasty and lies a lot, and besides, he cheated me in business.
Unimpressive...
I'll share a little story.
Years back I sold my business to another contractor in Philadelphia, with the stipulation that I would continue to run what had been my business as a separate division for a minimum of 4 years. The first three years were fine, the "old man" and I got along fine and he continued to honor my conditions of doing business. Two of which were that subcontractors and suppliers be paid within 5 days of our receiving payment, the second was that any sub or supplier that had the low price going into a bid (and no, not everyone had the same prices) and I got the job---they got the job at their bid price---I would not shop their price after an award.
After the first 3 years sons began to emerge from college and enter the business---and things went down hill because they would not honor my conditions. There was more to this problem--but I'll leave it there.
Eventually at about 5 years I went into the old man and said I was going to leave----his question was why---my answer----I had spent years building my reputation in that business and I was not going to stand by while the boys destroyed that. I went on to tell him that I could not continue to stand next to a pile of **** without getting the same order on me.
So---the moral of that story should be obvious----I am sorry that you aren't offended by the **** pile.
That is very fine and highfalutin reasoning, but we are dealing with politicians here. We know what our real choices were last time. Like turds, we know what floats to the top in the cesspool that is our politics. The coming choices won’t be much less stark. We will have Trump and Mike Pence versus whatever the Democrats choose — most likely Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden and some species of minority token, which will be their claim to fame. You think either of those mooks are more righteous than Trump? Biden is revealed as a grossly corrupt pol & clown who has never accomplished anything worthwhile in his life. Sanders is a lifelong Marxist committed to a philosophy of theft, plus command and control of our lives. Can you imagine to whom they owe debts and would appoint to festoon the bureaucracy & courts? Yikes!
Trump has a record, and I like what he has done for the most part beyond the fact that he is not someone I would invite to the family dinner table.
I'm not going to compromise my values because the "spoiled offerings" are all we are offered. To vote for them, places my seal of approval on those who I find disgusting.
Jeez, I would have had so few clients had I been burdened with that set of values.
I have to agree with Joe on this. Not voting for the "least disgusting" just might help the "most disgusting" get elected. As much as I dislike Trump, I don't think we can take a chance on what the Democrats are offering.
Voting is a personal choice. The consequence of a vote is a statistic, which generally will reveal that a refusal to vote or writing in a vote just to make yourself feel better will be a vote for the Democratic candidate in 2020.
