I stuck my first Motorhomes on the beach in soft sand with no storm. Cost me $200 for a tow, and that was in the late 70’s. The road roach tow drivers have no mercy on stupid RV drivers.
When we first took the kids to the beach, we went to S Padre Island. Thats because it is equidistant to there or California from my house.
Anyway, we decided to take the ferd diesel to the beach. They have these little parking areas/access points every few miles, so we picked a nice isolated one with no cars. Turns out there is a little shack with a guy selling beach access for $2. I started to park by his little shack, and he came out and told me I couldn't park there. I asked what I was supposed to do, and he said I needed to drive out on the beach. :omfg:
I had never driven on the beach before. :dunce: I asked what I was supposed to do if I get stuck way out here, and he politely implied that if I get stuck ...well, I'm a dumb azz. I worried about sinking that heavy truck, but it turns out wet sand is super cool to drive on.:smokin: So when you go to the beach in Texa$$, it is mandatory to drive on the beach and they don't even care if you drive in the ocean. :texas::flip:

Stumbled upon another picture of "the tide"..
All of the above is why I have never taken one of my RVs to the beach.
I had an 85 4Runner that weighed nothing.. used to drive in the NC beaches all of the time.. Never too the F-350 out.. scared it was too heavy.
That looks exactly like S Padre where I parked in the ocean.
