I have been wondering. What is a " good " speed for a computer ?.
Just checking, I have 68.3mb/s down load and 5.8 mb/s up load.
Is that normal as to the difference and down ? or, may I have a poor service ?.

Typically download speeds are considerably higher than upload speeds...If you're not dozing off waiting for it to finish, you're OK......Ben
I just ran a speed test with the results below. I pay a significant premium for that speed--which is also less than it is supposed to be.
No problem Ben---in that realm slow speed is referred to as "delayed gratification":getdown::march:Quote:
But I stay off the porn sites anyway..
I pay $50/mnth for 100mps up & down and get a variance around 60mps on both sides, not that up speed means much to me.
I get 49Mb/s down and 6 up. That's the best I can get here at the moment. AT&T just put in fiber yesterday and the guy said it would be available sometime in the future. If not, I'm hoping Verizon's 5G home comes soon.
I use a local rural outfit north of San Antonio name of GVTC (Guadalupe Valley Telecommunications?), which offered those speeds for years. It now offers much high speeds, but I have not looked into it because it would be wasted on my needs.
we have tin can service here. but then again we don't stream anything so it doesn't really matter 2.52 mbps down and .52 mbps up
17.1 and .92 slowest speed Ive had around Columbia.(ATT) Cable is twice that (R.R.com) Spectrum has just run new fiber which promises the moon.
and at night when neighborhood traffic is light 6.95 down and .62 up :beat:
