Food for thought: Capitalism and Socialism are both integral parts of our economic system. And, they aren't mutually exclusive. We've made both work well together, in spite of their differences. In fact, I'll go as far to say that we're one of the largest and most successful countries doing it.

China has taken that one step further, they are communists capitalist, if you can make sense of that.
That might be better said as a capitalistic dictatorship :shrug:

I think you're right that the "pivot left" is due to the current crop of Democrats. Will this define an actual move by the party? It could be. And, if so, I think we shall witness this by the results.
