A random thought...

A full year+ before national elections, and we've seen every half-baked Democrat thinking he has any modicum of popular support as a Presidential candidate, gesticulating wildly in a look-at-me attempt to be seen as Presidential material, vying for headlines and podium time at debates...And yet, although he is talked of as the worst President in history whose actions in the Oval Office will take decades of tedious repair, Donald Trump has seen no one from the Republican camp rise to oppose him as the next candidate other than a few timid souls slowly raising their hands, then being seated again quickly as if suddenly aware of what they were attempting...

If Trump is so indefensible in the polls as the next candidate, why are there no Republicans putting forth their banners in an attempt to save America and the Republican Party from four more years of President Trump?...Is it because would-be Republican candidates can actually find no argument with Trump's success rate?...Or do they suppose that the current crop of Democrats, whose proposed platforms are actually identical anti-Trump policies painted in rainbow colors to appear different, will fall apart during the election when the voting public sees them standing naked wrapped in nothing but an "I'm not Trump" hat?...

Does anyone know of a viable Republican, or independent candidate with a better chance of becoming President?...:geezer:...Ben

Easy one to answer: All Republicans are irredeemable sexists, racists, Nazi’s, deplorables, polluters, & carnivores. Those kinds of people will be happy with a rich, lying, racist reprobate.

Well Ben some just make a sport out of hating Trump. I, like you ,in the end wonder if they will let their hate overtake their judgment and vote for the Dem or just stay at home. If Trump loses they can enjoy the day and then suffer for the future. I could hate Trump to the core and NOTHING any of the Dem candidates have presented would make me vote for them.

I find it hard to believe. Y'all are not getting behind BO for President. I have my donation to his candidacy ready to go as soon as he declares. [ Which I hope is soon as the fried chicken is starting to become odorous. ] I also thing the mayo in the potato salad is becoming rancid. I may have to forgo the announcement party.

Thinking a few of those running will actually run for the senate in their state. Good possibility that that could tip the chamber.

I have been thinking Phil B might be a good candidate. He does not watch TV, he does not read the news, he comes here to get informed so he really does not keep up with things much, which by the way puts him way ahead of most of the candidates running.
