Of the many definitions of "truck," I subscribe to the one that says a true "truck" has a cabin separate from the body, both mounted on a chassis...Therefore the Rivian is not a pickup truck, or even a truck at all in my mind...But the patent application shows a number of interesting configurations if it sees production...I think it has potential on the market in the burgeoning field of electric vehicles, assuming they can overcome the usual roadblocks to acceptance, but for me it will never be a truck until the load carrying portion is detached from the driver and passenger carrying portion...:2cents:...Ben
