BTW---for those who love to bash the NYT---how often do your sources come up with findings like this?

I'm no supporter of Russia - but I do think their leadership is doing a wise thing by taking over areas we abandon. They are winning wars without firing shots.

Sadly, I think we're becoming a country others will push around.

It's possible but - I'm thinking it's more likely the Liberal members participating in this thread find it difficult to support our president when he's wrong.

We need to examine very closely our national interests in being militarily in that region. Should we be there because the Russian are there just to oppose them?

The various Mohammedanism cults and factions have been warring with and killing each other for 1400 years ever since their hideous namesake (piss be upon him) croaked. Why should we stand in their way? It is inviting to join in to eliminate a few hundred thousand every once in awhile, but isn’t it much better to stand back and watch them do it for us...after all, they are so damned good at it. Of course, we can send supplies and encouragement to whichever side is losing at the moment, or not, but never men...never men.

A better term and one to which I associate myself is a “misIslamic,” from the prefix “miso” meaning not one who fears Islamism (Islamophobe), but one who dislikes or detests the faith. Islam is a proven pestilence despoiling everything it touches. Witness the degradation and uselessness of Islamic dominated lands the last 500 years of its existence. Name one thing of human value it has produced in that time other than couscous? Instead look to the misery it has left in its wake wherever it has conquered or touched. It is touching us now. We should recoil.

Were not hiding in a corner I hope, lets get organised to fight were and when needed.
