Budesonide — Another Claimed Common Drug That Cures Covid-19

Video of Texas MD Midland, Tx., doctor who claims he has treated and cured many Covid-19 patients quickly, easily and completely with no failures. The drug has long been used and approved to treat lung inflammation of asmatics with virtually no side-effects. He claims that Taiwan, Japan & Singapore have had spectacularly few Covid deaths because they have been using the treatment with similar inhaled steroids.

Is he a crank with snake oil? I don’t know, but he is not trying to sell it, just offering it. Judge for yourself —

Traditional medical institutions are infamously resistant to many new treatments. For instance the small town medical doctor, Dr. Barry Marshall, who theorized that peptic ulcers, a painful disease affecting ~10% of adults at the time, were caused by bacteria instead of excess stomach acid and found an easy cure was rejected by “superior experts” for years. The experts had to eat their rejections and Marshall eventually received a Noble Prize in medicine.

Good to know, I have a bunch of that leftover from a former illness that it did nothing for. I hope it works if I get Covid.

Is your left over drug supply aerosol sprays or in inhaler form? The good doctor doubts aerosol sprays will be effective, if I have the nomenclature correct. He said the handheld sprays do not get 90% of the drops to the lungs, where the drug needs to get to work it’s anti-inflammatory magic.

Mine require a nebulizer.

Agreed, that is the gold standard test, which takes months & months and huge expense. The guys in Dave’s article are not saying their colleagues’ method has been disproved, they are saying it has not been tested properly. I was not advocating for Budesonide and have a serious case of skepticism for anyone who tells me God gave him a path in his sleep, but put it up for reference in the stack of “cures” being mentioned. Remember, everyone thought Australian Dr. Marshall was a crank too... besides, anything Facebook tries to crush is worth a look.
