Obviously I was never a fan an never listened to him but feel he could have used his power / fan base to do a better job of shaping the party....

The man peddled hate. We all need God's mercy but it helps if you recognize your failings and repent of them. Limbaugh did neither. He made money finding ways to amp up anger and division. I hope God finds mercy for him.
I followed Rush because some of my Conservative friends followed him. And, it allowed me to understand where they were coming from.
It was a nice touch that his wife announced his death. For, it meant something to his fans that she would step up and do that. I send condolences to those who will miss him.

I had very little respect for the man but that is now past, may God have mercy on his soul.
I listened to his show a bit when he was new. It was something different and interesting, but that didn't last for me. It got old quickly. He did have a talent and found an audience to fit.
He did what most every business person tries to do---he identified a market and he exploited it---and he exploited it very successfully.Quote:
