Mike and Ben the latest forecast I just saw could play some pretty bad weather in your area from Laura. I know you all are all watching it
The forecast for Marco has changed so frequently and so dramatically it amazes me. I have never seen such a fickle forecast as that of the past few days. Every time I feel relief, the forecast changes again.
I saw it...Accuweather says my area can expect some wind and rain Tuesday evening, but I should have my scheduled hobo camp raid completed by then...:relax:...Ben
It's encouraging to me that several very expensive helicopters are being moved out of the storms' paths to what is thought to be safer ground here in Conroe...:wary:...Ben
May all our friends and their families be safe.

...<yawn>...I sure hope we get some rain soon...Not a cloud in the sky here...:relax:...Ben
We're in drought status this year. But, last year was pretty good and filled our reservoirs. So, we've got enough water this year.

Sure hoping Laura does not shift track more to the west and hit Houston dead-on.
Laura is a monster. I fear widespread destruction and some deaths. Wherever it hits is going to get leveled. Sad.
Mike is star crossed. He moved from the Houston area only to have the next one take a bead on him in deep East Texas.
Be safe, my friend...
As of now it is heading right at the LA TX border sporting 145mph winds and a huge surge.
The latest (4pm cdt) forecast is really good for my Houston area house and my East Texas country house. I liked the rain possibilities for East Texas, but I am willing to forgo the rain here in exchange for the weather forecast in the Houston area.
We'll see what happens tomorrow.
Our news here says Laura will hit land right at High Tide - which is not good.
Best of luck (and nature) to our friends.
