I worked with a guy in the '80s who carried a 1911 .38 super as a duty weapon.
I've had a few...I also built a 1911 in .357 Sig on a 10MM slide (same boltface) and McCormick frame...I had a devil of a time making it feed properly until I chanced on trying a 9MM magazine that was spaced from the rear...After that it was flawless...Another one I regret selling, but divorce can force a lot of decisions we come to mourn...:wah:...Ben

Mine broke a firing pin during qualifying. I went a bought a Browning BDA .45 made in full by Sig. and was the progeny to the infamous Sig P 226 after Sig got all of their import paper resolved. Still have it one of my most dependable weapons.Quote:
