We're having similar issues here in Utah. Personally, I think many of our problems in dealing with mail-in ballots are due to ineffective and inefficient planning for them.

It's the fact that people did not mail them in but instead took them to the polling places on election day. They got flooded all at once.

Seems like we would have learned after military votes went uncounted in Florida in the Bush/Gore race.
Seems like the easier they make it to fake a vote the more problems they have. In Texas Mail in votes have to be in by a certain day, BEFORE the election. All early votes are counted before the polls close and after the polls close, all of the numbers are totaled. How hard can it really be people. If the people in Florida and Arizona can not seem to get it right, change it back to everyone standing in a line on election day and cast a vote. When the line is gone or the time to close the door, it is over. Easy Peasy.
Sorry Tx it does not work that way. You can drop off your ballot the day of. Not sure if they can count them before the election is over.
The problem is that a vast majority of people in Maricopa County chose the early voting option but do not mail in their ballot early but instead take them to the polls on election day thus causing a HUGE surge of ballots to be counted. The system needs to change and stop the drop off option. If you want to vote early you need to mail it in by the deadline or go stand in line.. There were 190K early voter envelopes dropped off on election day... it a people problem.
It needs to become on line voting.
I can pay bills , file tax returns, register my car on line, register to vote on line, why not vote on line?
Online voting means your Identity could be compromised and somebody could steal your vote. Remember the "Russia hoax"?
Again, early voting is fine, I did it myself, but the early voting ends on the friday before election day. Mail in ballots have to be in the morning of the election and they are usually sent out by Oct 1st. If you can not get your ballot back before the morning election day, you are dragging your feet and burdening everybody.
I'm all for that but apparently, we can't keep the Russians or Chinese out of out Pentagon computers or any others now. So we might end up with Putin for president.:flip:Quote:
