Livermore PD 1 Bangers 0

We had a shooting last week. Gang related. intended target was missed. Bad guys got away in a high speed pursuit. However their car plate was noted.

At 4 am this morning one of the many intersection Lic Plate readers in town got a hit. CCTV camera at the entrance to Lawrence Livermore National Lab picked up the vehicle. Another camera picked them up going into an apartment complex.

Livermore PD swarmed. perps tried to flee on foot. All in custody after a short foot chase. Guns recovered. All had previous felonies. now potential 3 strikes folks

yup. the Lab is one of the most secure places in the country. They monitor everything in its vicinity. They know when a mouse farts a mile away. Cameras and plate readers are everywhere.

Does anyone know how often that 3 strike rule is imposed---and allowed to remain in place. My guess is that if you can get out to avoid getting the covid-19 this might simply be a good "marketing" line. :dunno:
