Comey Made Much More Extensive CYA Notes Than We Knew
...about the F.B.I. investigation of Trump/Russia and the F.B.I. previously got a federal court to seal them under the pretext that it would protect the Mueller investigation, and disclosure could give witnesses (Trump) an opportunity to alter prospective testimony in that investigation. Now that the investigation is over, the F.B.I. is coming up with different reasons to redact critical info from disclosure. The revelation of the volume of Comey notes shows it is much more than just his memorialization of his meetings with Trump and includes those with investigators of the entire investigation including the suspect FISA court applications — a goldmine of previously unknown background into the F.B.I. investigation.
If Nadler and his bunch are correct that the entirety of the Mueller investigation must be turned over, then this will be prominent in the disclosure. Also, these notes are material Trump can declassify at his sole discretion, its genesis, means & methods, personnel, named confidential sources & spies and findings or lack thereof — the whole ball of wax!
