Is that one of those , get it or loose your job , type of mandates ?.
I'd tell them to Fuc#k off. No one dictates what I put in my body and when.
I hope 4 months from now people don't start dying from the vaccine....
At the Naval Academy they used to refer to that as voluntold.
You first... I'll be standing by...
It is all about risk vs benefit for me. I know the risk I run if I get covid---I am one of those considered "compromised".
I will be at the front of the line if anyone wants to find me:zoom:
I'm going to take it the first chance I get. But from what I'm reading being white and not essential might be some kind of a detriment to getting it early.
Congratulations.. take notes.. we are curious as to side effects..
And thanks for what you do for us every day..
well so far other than the initial feeling that someone gave me a light punch in the shoulder no side effects but its only been 3 hours since I got the shot. I did have the urge to have a beer and some left over birthday cake (64 on Friday) so there is that.
Well Happy Birthday.
well 32 hours post vaccination the injection site is still a bit sore but other that that I feel great. I have had no adverse reactions, no feeling ill at all. two thumbs up so far
When do you get the booster?
I checked today I'm in group 1 C so it looks like February for me.
Me also.. but I’m going to request a waiver to the head of the line... “ I’ll wear a tuxedo so that I’ll look important “. (Intentional, punch line to old joke)
Seriously.. maybe if I show up with my six month growth of hair they will put me at the head of the line.. (I’m threatening to have it trimmed into a mullet, so far the kids are scared that I’ll actually do it.. ).. almost enough for a “man bun”..
Per USA Today..
The committee voted 13-1 to recommend that Phase 1b include people 75 and older and front-line essential workers. Phase 1c will include people 65 to 74 and people 16 to 64 who have high-risk medical conditions, along with other essential workers.
So geezers are in queue before the great throngs of unwashed masses.. .. but not by much..
Note: I had some great times as an unwashed mass ...
Post the graph please. I'm curious where the gobberment values my life...... Still not getting the shot unless my Doctor advises me and so far he is in wait and see mode and really not a fan of the Pfizer Vaccination...
I remember walking into a Taco Bell in Oceanside covered in grime and smelling like a week old dead deer. Place was filled will Marines, they gave us a wide berth. counter lady used tongs to take our money. We had been off roading in Anza Borrego for 9 days taking dirt baths. Got home and my mom tossed us out of the house, Sister yelled down whats that awful smell. mom yelled back. Your Brothers home! She came running out with a camera. Had to hose off in the back yard before I was allowed to come in to use the shower. Good Times
Get back suckers------I'm at the head of the line in 1b----(76):salute:
Unfortunately, my wife is in 1C
Ben---- you may want to check with your DR as Texas is doing things differently.
Quote:
But on Dec. 21, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) announced that it was choosing not to follow the CDC's recommendations on who would be receiving the next round of vaccinations during Phase 1b, The Week reports. Instead of inoculating frontline essential workers and people over the age of 75, Texas has opted to give its next doses to people 65 and older as well as any other adults above the age of 16 with serious health conditions including cancer, chronic kidney disease, heart disease, obesity, organ transplant status, diabetes, and sickle cell disease, and those who are pregnant.
Thanks for the tip, Fred...:handshake:...Ben
:maybe:
Do you suddenly have the urge to do exactly what the government tells you to do via the voices in your head TriTip?
Please remember that we all do not hear the same voices .. so keep explaining yourself.. (try not to use pronouns)..
Be safe.. hope “camping” is really “hermiting “ alone in the woods..
Re: great unwashed.. US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen.. late 70s.. was Woodstock with a Formula 1 race.. in 1978 we went with 18 cases of Old Milwaukee 14oz cans.. 8lb of chicken dogs (and white bread for rolls) six cans of campbells chicken noodle soup (my wife’s) and an Entemans danish ring.. we brought hot dogs home.. (slept in a 1975 E150).. an East coast thing..
We were camping inside the track.. where the track split to go left into “the boot” or right to the “girlie” NASCAR boot bypass..
There was big action at the bog.. (greyhound bus?) .. so several of us headed over.. awhile later, I am awakened by the strong smell tear gas.. my friends are now where to be found and I had “fallen asleep” sitting on the track against a guard rail.. we were camping next to a bunch of Canadians.. I may have gotten into their cooler..
Oh.. being young and at “the Glen”..
US-15 is almost all 4 lane now and you don’t have to go through a kizillion little towns..
That Greyhound bus ended up being the death toll of the bog. We normally camped on the back straight both on the inside and outside.
I remember one Grand Prix when it snowed!
