Hydroxychloroquine.

I failed to find the humor in that especially thinking of the thousands of people fighting for their lives looking for anything any way to continue to live
I don't get the joke.
I am in the process of getting a prescription for the drug for prophylactic purposes after reading the literature pro & con. I asked my pharmacist and found that Texas has no restrictions on the drug for COVID-19 purposes. There are beyond minimal side effects of the drug, which has been taken by tens of millions of people for first malaria prevention and secondarily for lupus and arthritis over a period of 6 decades.
It may or may not have efficacy on prevention or lessening of symptoms if taken early, but taking it in case it works I reason is a NO BRAINER considering it is cheap and has no side effects to mention...certainly less than aspirin or many other across-the-counter drugs. Besides, I’ll be protected from certain kinds of malaria what with climate change and all moving the malaria zone into Texas! In fact in many malaria countries HCQ is across-the-counter and has been forever w/o any problems.
To top off my “reasoning,” when I learned that the last two highly publicized “studies” that alleged that HCQ was not only ineffective, but dangerous, were funded by leading drug companies investing in upcoming COVID vaccines designed to make them hundred$ of billion$ and therefore had a vested interest in the virus propagating widely and thriving until they can cash in, and then learned both “studies” were withdrawn by their publishers because they learned they were based upon fraudulent data, that only served to pique my interest in the thing they took those drastic steps to squelch. Why would they seek to withhold something that did not work? It could only hurt them if it does work and it becomes widely used obviating their vaccines.
The recommended dose is a 200mg pill 2x/wk plus a zinc pill every day. No joke.
Here’s one just for fun, I can’t remember if I posted it previously or not...I’m getting to that age...an age susceptible to the WuFlu —

Of course it could be that this India slum is impervious to the WuFlu not because everybody takes HCQ, but because everybody eats curry. I wonder if they thought of that?
Aren't you afraid it will make you dumb?
Sorry, couldn't help it.
No harm; no foul.
I still don't get it.
How is it a joke that a drug that many, including doctors, thought would help with the Covid virus might have failed? I'm not certain that it did because many doctors still believe it helps. Without further studies we don't know for sure.
I have no idea about the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for any disease, but I understand the following video has been controversially banned on many sites...I thought I'd present it here in the interest of equal time...:direct:...Ben
Ben, I found the video's comments to be timely, interesting, and entertaining (which means I'm possibly wrong).
