What did China have to gain by releasing the virus?
They did not want to be alone in suffering its effects on their economy, is the theory purposed.
They wanted to “share the misery” to keep their economic edge, which is undeniable fact, that they did. It is up to future development of facts to fill in if they did it on purpose, but that Zi knew of its transmissibility, closed off interior travel in affected parts of Chine, yet let his people fly all over the world from Wuhan at the same time, while screaming “discrimination,” when countries barred travel, is not under dispute. That at least, is fact in support of the theory that they have not explained.
That they are capable of such evil, there is no doubt of a regime that will lock people in their apartments they suspect of having the virus until they die, and are capable of harvesting organs for sale from live “donors.” This despite Sino-Joe Biden telling us, “C’mon, man, these are not bad folks, folks!” Never forget their founder, Mao, systematically killed off tens of millions of China’s citizens in various rebellions, wars and purges. Life is cheap there. Only The State is important.

For the same reason I haven't kept up with all of this thread---to much news, to little time! I'll spend the resource where I can best benefit.Quote:
Is the world’s most important newspaper reporting on any of that? If they are, why did you not read it there?
I'm not buying any of this conspiracy theory crap.
I can easily see a lab ginning up a monster and some whack job who works there stealing it for commercial purposes. I used to know an ER nurse with an opium addiction who stole anything she could from the hospital. People are inventing new ways to do dumb things every day.
I could easily see that. Maybe sell it to ISIS or Iran
I'm sure they could find some really nifty ways to use it.
But I don't think that's what happened.
Mike, how do you explain the Chi-Com’s initiating vast lockdowns inside China at the same time they flushed those exposed all over the world?
I'll admit to maybe not being being well enough informed, I mostly quit paying attention when the "investigations" became witch hunts.
You see, I don't really give a damn about who did what when. All I really care about is finding a vaccine and a cure. So let's put more effort into that first.
I care if the Chi-Com’s in essence initiated germ warfare against us especially considering the Democrat presidential nominee will be one of their biggest boosters here.
It makes absolutely no sense that China would infect its own citizenry and then spread it around the world. If attacking the U. S. was the goal, that could have been accomplished by covert means in the same manner as we've discussed for many years. There would be no need to infect their other trading partners. There would be collateral damage but none of what you are saying makes sense to me. With that, I'm done. I won't change your mind and you can't change mine. No need to argue the point.
It made no sense that Germany would execute millions of its own people just because they happened to be Jewish, but when ordered to do so, it happened...It made no sense that 10 million Russians had to die in a political purge, but when ordered to do so, it happened...History is hard to argue with...:2cents:...Ben
My theory does not incorporate China intentionally infecting their own citizens. Instead, it is that they collected the virus from a cave 500 miles from Wuhan, and like other incidences in their labs, saw it escape. It is the only plausible explanation, as it is established that the virus came from the horseshoe bat, which only occurs in that distant cave complex and hitch were NOT sold or eaten in Wuhan where the virus emerged in the populace. At that point they were confronted with choices to inform the world or try to cover it up and contain it up. They chose the latter route, but lost control at which point they knew they had a huge problem that required massive shutdowns of their economy, which they did. Still not fessing up to the known problem of a virulent disease in their midst, they had another choice to alert the world that the virus was communicable between humans and close their borders to exit or not. They chose both to 1)not tell the world of its rampant communicability and 2) to not close their borders. I posit that the reason they chose as they did was to equalize the misery for economic competitive reasons. Why else would they make those choices?
Must I remind my “crazy conspiracy theories” are proving true with the Trump/Russia fable and the Gen. Flynn railroad job?
In this same timeframe, scientist are observing from satellite photos that hospital traffic multiplied in Wuhan last October as measured by the number of vehicles in their parking lots. Evidence that needs exploring and coalescing in more investigation.

Two American researchers theorize that SARS CoV-2, was first contracted by 6 Chinese miners in a shaft in Southwest China in 2012, while cleaning mounds of bat guano. The disease from which three of the miners died went undiagnosed even as the local doctor treating the miners consulted several other prominent specialists, one of which was the leading expert on the SARS virus. Symptoms presented closely resemble some of those common to COVID-19, although the 2012 cases were never identified.
The theory is said to be gaining ground as the explanation for the origins of the disease, and the authors believe the best evidence is that the samples sent to the Wuhan Institute of Virology were subsequently the source of the virus which escaped that lab in 2019, leading to the pandemic.
