Thoughts; Anyone ?.
Somewhere between 30 and 40 MPG combined. What about towing power ?.

Well, that is certainly different! I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs.
Here is a CLICKY to IV's article.
Wish I had a picture of the one engine we found back in the early 70's Was made up of 2 chevy 6 cylinder units bolted similar to the engine shown. There was no heads and had pistons opposed. The gentleman tried to explain how he was trying to get it to run. IIRC it had some sort of updraft carb on it.
Of course then we passed on Ardun head for flatheads for $200. and early hemis to run SBC or Fords or if you got a chance ran a big block in your hot rod.
A real boxer engine, and the 2-cycle aspect is surprising. Emissions and torque always seemed the downfall of 2-cycles. Seems elegantly simple in the cartoon, but they always do.
Great!
The basic engine design is not new but this contains a lot of enhancements.
I get excited when people are open to taking another look:clap::clap:
Did they say gasoline without spark ignition? How does that work? What is the compression ratio that will do that?
Not simple answer like 18:1.
There are a lot of different designs of this approach and all have different characteristics. Mazda is coming out with one in 2019. Saturn was close---and then they died.
